Silver figure padded on, seeming to talk to himself as he went, asking himself questions or, asking the ar questions, or atleast someone invisable named, Rascity. The moon soaked his silver coat and made it glimmer in shine in the moonlight, yet he hated it, for if he was seen, he'd be dead most likely, for the wrath of a startled buck was not one that he'd live through.
"Rascity, are we almost there? You know I've never taken this path and I'm becoming restless and scared...I've never been awake this late!" Rascity could easily hear the fear in his voice, and replied, Don't fret, we're almost there and you want to eat, don't you? The fawns'll be born soon meaning there might be extra food tonight. calmly.
"Whatever you say..." he murmured as though he was a pup, rather then an almost adult wolf. At the moment, his shadows were even scaring him out of his wits, and the thought of losing Rascity had completely left his mind.
Though it was odd, it seemed as though Prizm feared the dark, though that was a completel lie. He only feared the things that lurked in it. He would always remember the tales that Rascity used to tell him to keep him in the den at night to keep him in it, and this seemed like a night when one of those stries would take place.
Quit scaring yourself you big baby! You know I only used those tales to keep you from killing yourself at night! She snarled within Prizm's mind, taunting him try to get him going, and it worked, it actually made him go faster...Much faster..
"You never know, Rascity, you never know!" He snarled, then padded silently foreward into the darkness, soon stopping, waiting for Rascity to ask him why. PRIZM! Keep going!
The brute sighed, then spoke. "Didn't you say the fawns were born in the morning?" he asked, then curled himself up under a aspen tree he found not to far off from the path.
Yes, why? was all Rascity could think as she tried to pull Prizm back to the path, though she knew it would never happen, atleast not in Prizm's lifetime.
"Well, if their born in the morning, shouldn't I wait 'til morning so I don't fatigue myself too much? I'm already probably half way and the next Twisted Willow is probably a few miles away so, it's safe to rest here." He said in reply, then waited for his caretaker to respond.
Well, I guess you're right, just keep an ear open for the heard, and for whomever might want to prey upon you. Soon, she began to rest herself, waiting for her Prizm to fall asleep, though he didn't, instead he asked her more questions then usual.
"Rascity, why is my life a puzzle....Why? Why must I always mess the puzzle up as soon as I get close to solving it...Why?" Rascity feared her reply, for one answer lead to another question, and before long, Prizm might have known too much, though she couldn't help but answer him... He was her, now wasn't he?
Prizm, why do you ask such silly questions? She asked in reply, trying to hide the trueth from him, in every way possible while she thought of an awser herself, yet she knew she couldn't bide much time or he'd know, and block himself off from her until he was too scared to move and and 'til they both starved to death.
"You know why, Rascity, now tell me...Please! He nearly cried into the darkness, scaring Rascity even more, fo she feared that if Prizm was caught, he'd be killed and she couldn't let that happen for she knew he wasn't affected and that he could be the one to find the cure...That he needed his full life to find it.
I'm not sure...Truely, I don't know... She replied, simply, the tone of worry weaved into her 'voice'. Her pupil merely shook his head and sighed agin, then snarled in regret.
"You choose to hide everything from me!" He cried into the night sky, so loud that any creature for miles could hear him, luckily, the deer were over 10 miles away. "If you won't answer that question, atleast tell me this, where did you come from!?" He snarled at his conscience.
I'm not sure of that myself actually... And though she regretted not knowing where she came from and what she was, she knew he knew she was telling the trueth, and with that, they were silence, begining to wonder and brainstorm about those two questions, though Rascity chose to block her mind off from Prizm, and added another question to her thoughts. What was going to happen to Prizm and herself? The thought of what might happen lingered in the back of her mind and it also seemed that the wind was whispering to the trees and plants and other creatures of what might happen, and soon.
